About the position
The role implements the University’s research reporting, benchmarking, performance frameworks, including essential compliance and reputation enhancing submissions. You will work within a cross functional team of analysts to gather a diverse range of information across the university, through contact with researchers and academic leadership to provide analysis and insight.
The Research Performance Analyst will understand the research environment and use their proven analytical and report writing skills to engage with the developments globally in research performance measurement and evaluation and will support the Research Office on projects and other activities from time to time.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will
• An undergraduate degree in any area relevant to the position with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
•Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively in small teams and wider University framework.
•Demonstrated organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.
•Demonstrated strong numerical and analytical skills combined with Power BI / SQL report writing
•Ability to develop innovative methodologies or take a leading role in the application of proven techniques involving considerable theoretical and technical sophistication.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes.
Desirable
• Knowledge and experience in the university sector, including data requirements, modelling and analysis.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in higher education policies nationally and internationally.
