About the position

This position contributes to teaching and research within the Discipline of Physiotherapy at La Trobe University.

The role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across lectures, tutorials, practical classes, and workshops in face-to-face, blended and online formats, while applying evidence-based approaches to evaluate and enhance student learning. The appointee will contribute to innovative curriculum design and review, demonstrate a scholarly approach to pedagogy, and undertake high-quality research through publication and conference dissemination, both independently and collaboratively.

With mentoring support, the role will seek external research funding, supervise or co-supervise Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, foster local partnerships and knowledge transfer, and contribute to administrative and service responsibilities as required by the Discipline Lead or Head of School.

 

Skills and Experience

  • PhD degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline areas.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and curriculum development.
  • Evidence of high quality and/or high impact research conducted and published or otherwise disseminated, relative to opportunity.
  • Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively, collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Knowledge, expertise and skills in the discipline’s key areas.
