About the position

The primary purpose of this position is to work with the Customer Experience Officer (Admin), La Trobe Sport, to facilitate sales of a range of facilities and experiences delivered by La Trobe Sport and supporting outstanding customer experience across La Trobe University’s sport infrastructure.

La Trobe Sport was established to drive the implementation of the Plan for Sport at La Trobe that involves a range of activities:

  • Develop teaching and learning opportunities related to sport
  • Build the university research capacity related to sport
  • Develop sporting partnerships that enhance teaching, learning and research
  • Facilitate new and existing academic programs related to sport
  • Facilitate coordination across student services and facilities management to maximise opportunities for club sport and sport partnerships with community and school sport groups
  • Support the development of new infrastructure to enhance the sport and sport related programs at La Trobe
  • Manage the La Trobe University sport-related partnerships and sponsorships

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • Good communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, interpreting and nonverbal skills.
  • A flexible attitude to work and an ability to accommodate and adapt to change.
  • Good organisational and time management skills including ability to prioritise, work independently and as part of a team and work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in using information technology applications relevant to the role.
  • Capability with relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures.
  • Ability to produce accurate work with sound attention to detail.
  • A positive and proactive attitude to work.
  • Willingness to learn.

Special Requirements:

  • The Customer Experience Supervisor may occasionally be required to work outside regular business hours depending on sport facility bookings and major events.
