Position: Senior Lecturer (Level C) - Teaching Focused OR Teaching and Research

About the Role:
As a Senior Lecturer, you will have the flexibility to choose between two career tracks:
- Teaching Focused: Lead the development of innovative curricula, deliver high-quality learning experiences, and contribute to the scholarly advancement of teaching practices in health information management, digital health and related fields.
- Teaching and Research: In addition to your teaching duties, you will contribute to high-impact research, build a research portfolio, and secure funding for research projects, particularly in the areas of health information management and digital health.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Focused Role:
- Develop and deliver engaging curriculum through face-to-face, online, and blended learning methods.
- Mentor and lead fellow academics in curriculum design and teaching.
- Supervise Honours and Master’s students, while supporting their intellectual and professional growth.
- Obtain funding for teaching improvement projects and contribute to the School’s leadership and administration.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching and Research Role:
- All of the above teaching responsibilities, plus:
- Conduct and lead innovative and high-impact research.
- Publish research papers, present at conferences, and represent the university at external events.
- Supervise Honours, Master's, and PhD students in research projects.
- Lead research teams and secure funding from grants, contracts, and consultancies.
Required Qualifications & Skills (for both tracks):
- PhD or equivalent in digital health, health information systems, or a related field.
- Expertise in health information systems and at least one of the other health information management knowledge domains: health informatics, health data analysis or clinical classification.
- Proven excellence in teaching and curriculum development, with demonstrated leadership in online and traditional learning environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse student population.
For the Teaching and Research Role:
- Strong research publication record with national or international impact.
- Experience in securing research funding from competitive grants or contracts.
- Leadership experience in managing research projects or teams.
