About the position

You will be responsible for proactively assisting the Manager and Senior Coordinator of Scholarships in the setting of priorities, coordinating scholarship functions, monitoring workflows, tracking goals and actions, and acting as an escalation point for the team. You will provide specialist advice by analysing and interpreting data, identifying trends, testing solutions and sourcing additional relevant information to support problem resolution, continuous improvement and inform progress reporting activities, all in pursuit of delivering service excellence.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • Degree with subsequent relevant experience to consolidate the theories and principles learned, or extensive experience, leading to either the development of specialist expertise or to the development of broad knowledge in an administrative field, or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience. 
  • High level proficiency and experience in scholarships administration and systems (including SISOne Rewards, CiA and Squiz Matrix) and related activities and the application of relevant government legislation.
  • Demonstrated capacity to contribute positively to an effective team by working effectively and efficiently and by taking responsibility for delivering innovative outputs by the deadlines required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the activities of others including setting priorities, monitoring workflows and coaching and motivation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
