About the position

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Level B Research Fellow as the Victorian site coordinator (Soccer) for our Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) protectHER project. protectHER will scale up proven injury prevention programs for women and girls playing community soccer. protectHER seeks to translate this evidence into nationwide implementation, partnering with the Football Australia to embed coach accreditation, digital resources, and sustained adoption strategies across community Australian soccer leagues nationally.  This role requires an experienced post-doctoral researcher with qualifications and expertise in trial coordination.

This role requires experience managing partnerships with sporting organisations and administrators and will be a critical interface with the local leagues, clubs, and coaches in Victoria. They will be the primary point of contact for Victorian leagues (i.e. administrators, and associated clubs/coaches), study clinicians (delivering the workshops) and blinded observers.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • Completion of a PhD or equivalent qualifications or research experience.
  • A record of publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of collaborators nationally and/or internationally and with industry partners.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-site or community-based clinical trials, implementation studies, or complex research projects, including recruitment, data collection, monitoring and audit activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive partnerships with sporting organisations, leagues, clubs, administrators, coaches and community stakeholders, preferably within community soccer or women’s and girls’ sport.
