About the position

Working within the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience and Employability), the Senior Manager leads the integrated AI, systems, data and digital innovation capability that underpins a seamless, end-to-end student lifecycle.

The role provides strategic and functional leadership across AI-enabled services, enterprise student systems, data governance, analytics, automation and service improvement. Supporting  Schools, Information Services, AI teams, internal key stakeholders and external partners, the Senior Manager leads major transformation programs, strengthens organisational capability and delivers scalable solutions that improve service quality, productivity, decision-making and student outcomes.

Duties at this level:

  • Lead delivery of AI-enabled and digital student experience initiatives, ensuring scalable, efficient and personalised services aligned to divisional and University priorities.
  • Oversee student systems and platforms, ensuring effective performance, integration and optimisation of core systems (e.g. CRM, SIS and service platforms) to support end-to-end service delivery.
  • Lead business partnering and stakeholder engagement, working closely with Schools, divisions, IS and AI teams to align digital solutions with operational needs and strategic priorities.
  • Provide leadership of AI and systems teams and projects, including vendor engagement, fusion team delivery models and capability uplift to support sustainable digital innovation.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Proven experience and success in managing staff performance and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional digital and AI initiatives from design through to implementation, delivering scalable and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise student systems and platforms, with the ability to oversee optimisation, integration and performance across multiple technologies.
  • Highly developed ability to work across functions, influencing stakeholders and translating business needs into effective digital and system solutions.
