About the position

A Level B Clinical Practitioner is responsible for teaching-related duties involving the creation, delivery and content of nursing and midwifery education. Including direct teaching informed by approaches that enhance the student experience, curriculum design and review, advancements in education technologies and involvement in the professional accreditation of courses.

The incumbent could work across all sites associated with the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus including the La Trobe Clinical Schools at Alfred Health, Austin Health, Northern Health, and Melbourne Health. 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • A Masters or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the nursing and/or midwifery disciplines.
  • Registered or eligible to register as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by sustained high results on student feedback on teaching surveys, teaching excellence awards or through other forms of evidence.
  • Recent and relevant contemporary clinical/professional experience as relevant to the nursing and/or midwifery disciplines.
