About the position
Wellbeing Services provides various wellbeing supports to La Trobe University students and staff across all La Trobe University campuses. Reporting to the Senior Manager and Clinical Lead, Student Health and Wellbeing, the Team Leader, Student Wellbeing Connect leads a team providing short-term case management, coordinated support, and risk management for students experiencing complex wellbeing, psychosocial, health, and safety concerns.
This role oversees day-to-day operations, including triage, assessment, supervision, and workload allocation, while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support student engagement, safety, and academic success across La Trobe University. Occasional travel between campuses may be required.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
- Qualifications in Social Work or Psychology, and extensive management in similar setting/s such as mental health, health or wellbeing services, including eligibility for or current membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Psychologist.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills with experience in managing and leading staff to promote a cohesive and effective team and managing workflows.
- Ability to be responsible for program/system development and implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders to achieve stated outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level of self-motivation and personal management skills.
- Proven leadership skills in managing professional staff engaged in the delivery of clinical and case management services, including experience in directing, engaging and motivating staff.
