About the position
The Senior Officer, Student Advising (Accessibility) provides advising support and case coordination to students requiring accessibility support, delivering timely and effective outcomes within established policies and frameworks. The position acts as a first point of contact for accessibility advising enquiries (CRM, email, phone, in-person, etc.), providing guidance, advice, and triage to students, staff and stakeholders, including undertaking initial assessment and coordination of support to enable inclusive student outcomes. Staff are required to employ and maintain a professional, positive and solution orientated approach across all work practices and daily interactions.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
