About the position
Reporting to the Manager Admissions, the incumbent, will be considered the operating expert for all internal Apply Direct applicants, Tertiary Admission Centre admission, and credit processes and systems. The role contributes to the coordination of administrative functions, quota management and conversion activities and workflows related to the broader admissions activities across all cohorts both International and domestic.
The Coordinator is responsible for working closely with, both VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admission Centre) and UAC (University Admission Centre), peers and across teams to ensure a consistent approach to customer service delivery and consistent application of transactional activities and associated procedures. This includes the responsibility for reporting activities, quality assurance, continuous development and collaborative knowledge sharing practices. The role also plays a critical coordination function in managing daily workflow allocation, prioritisation, and escalation of activities across team members to support timely and accurate admissions outcomes.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Experience in admission and related activities and the application of relevant government legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and take responsibility for delivering outputs by the deadlines required.
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
