  • Base salary from $118,580 per annum (pro rata .2) + 17% Superannuation

 

About the position

This position is funded by the MRFF grant “BioMotionAi – Precision clinical care for people with musculoskeletal pain”. The aim of this project is to improve the precision of clinical decision-making in managing foot pain and related conditions, leading to better health outcomes. It also seeks to reduce both direct (e.g. pathology-related) and indirect (e.g. physical inactivity) healthcare burdens, while improving economic and social participation for people experiencing foot pain.

The position sits within Work Package 3 and involves identifying treatment targets for four common and disabling musculoskeletal foot conditions: osteoarthritis (affecting the big toe and midfoot), adult-acquired flatfoot deformity, plantar heel pain, and Achilles tendinopathy

 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • Completion of a relevant PhD or equivalent qualifications or relevant research experience.
  • Experience in recruiting participants from the community.
  • A record of relevant publications, conference papers and/or reports, or professional or technical contributions which provide evidence of strong research potential.
  • Sound analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly both orally and in writing.
  • High level organisational skills: the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, initiate and follow-up actions, all with minimal or no supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively with staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of collaborators nationally and/or internationally and with industry partners.
  • Experience in the preparation of research proposal submissions to external funding bodies and evidence of success in securing research funding.
