Applications for Teaching and Research to Teaching Focused transitions must be lodged by 5pm, Sunday 31st August 2025.

You must attach the following (as separate PDF files):
- A brief cover letter, outlining why you are interested in a Teaching Focused position (no more than 1-2 A4 pages. Focus on quality of content, not quantity.)
Apart from describing your motivation to transition to a Teaching Focused position, you could also write about your recent achievements and plans. For instance, you could include:
- Evidence of your effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development and/or subject coordination in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes (e.g. SFS and/or SFT reports, peer review of teaching, or impact you have had on the teaching of others).
- Teaching awards, commendations that you have received.
- Initiatives that you have undertaken in the last three years and outcomes that have improved the student experience.
- Improvements that you have implemented as a direct result of student feedback and course or subject reviews.
- Your engagement with the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching (L&T) (e.g. completed professional development related to L&T, publications in L&T, peer reviewed or not).
- A copy of your CV (no more than 10 pages)
- Evidence of Dean (or equivalent) approval (email is sufficient)
If applicable you may also attach the following (as a separate PDF file):
- Supporting Evidence document;
REVERSION
- Those academic staff members who are successful in being appointed under subclauses 31.24 and 31.25 may choose to revert to their previous academic profile, in which case the reversion will take effect from the next academic year or, where agreed by the Dean, at an earlier time.
- Transitioned roles can thus continue indefinitely, but it is expected that the staff member will indicate clearly to their supervisor in their annual workload discussions that they wish to continue in the transitioned profile if this is the case.
