Details - Lecturer, Business Analytics (Casual consolidation role open to current LTU casuals only)

We are reducing the overall use of academic casual employment and providing meaningful pathways for casual academic staff to ongoing academic employment through our casual consolidation project.

To be eligible, you must (a) Have casual experience totalling at least two (2) teaching sessions at La Trobe University in the previous two (2) years; (b) Have not held a continuing position in a university in the previous three (3) years.

La Trobe Business School is seeking a passionate and innovative Lecturer in Business Analytics to inspire the next generation of analytics professionals. This continuing role offers the opportunity to shape curriculum, deliver engaging teaching, and build strong industry connections in a forward-looking academic environment.

About the Role

As a Teaching Focussed Lecturer, you will:

• Develop and coordinate high-quality, engaging learning experiences across workshops, tutorials, and practical classes
• Contribute to curriculum innovation and subject design within Business Analytics
• Foster industry engagement to enhance student learning and employability
• Undertake scholarship of learning and teaching (SoLT), presenting at conferences and producing impactful outputs
• Collaborate with a supportive team and contribute to School and University-wide initiatives

Key Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in Business Analytics, Data Analytics or a related discipline
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination
• Track record of educational innovation and evidence-based teaching improvements
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders
• Willingness to apply for funding for teaching innovation projects
