About the position
The Data Entry Officer is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data across various systems and Excel spreadsheets. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently with large volumes of information. The Data Entry Officer will ensure data integrity, support reporting processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Data Entry and Management
- Accurately input data into various systems, databases, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Update and maintain existing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify data by cross-checking with source documents or other systems.
Data Quality Assurance
- Perform regular data audits to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
- Ensure data integrity by following established data entry protocols and procedures.
- Audit and Data verification through different phases of the project.
Reporting and Documentation
- Generate reports from databases and Excel as required.
- Maintain detailed records of data entry activities and updates.
Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in data management or related fields
- Demonstrative experience in using computer database systems and advanced Excel functions alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data entry software.
- High level of attention to detail, time management communication, and problem-solving skills coupled with cultural sensitivity and knowledge to be able to operate under guidance to achieve desired outcomes in a variety of international and cultural contexts.
