About the position
The Senior Officer is a part of, and reports to, the central Student Campus Engagement team and with on-campus colleagues and university staff (including Office of the Head of Campus, Student Associations, Student Accommodation, Marketing, Customer Care and University staff) as well as other internal and external stakeholders (in face-to face settings and virtually) to support students at every stage of the student life cycle.
The Senior Officer plans and delivers tailored student events and activations, for the campus context, while also contributing to institution-wide events and initiatives. Responsibilities include event design, planning, delivery, and evaluation. Tasks include, data collection, creating events briefs and compliance documentation, site maps, managing survey tools, monitoring and maintaining event reports etc and stakeholder communication.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have
• Completion of a degree with/without relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and be agile and responsive in a major project or major event setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, to prioritise work effectively, deliver outputs in a timely manner and contribute positively to a team.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop excellent working relationships with, colleagues, students, and other stakeholders.
