About the position

The Senior Lifecycle Marketing Specialist sits within the Marketing team in the Marketing, Communications and Experience division. The role is responsible for the hands-on build, delivery and ongoing optimisation of lifecycle marketing programs, including automation journeys and communications that support engagement across the student lifecycle. This includes email/SMS production, marketing automation, and customer journey builds that support prospective student acquisition, nurture, conversion, and retention objectives across domestic and international audiences.

This is a specialist technical role that sits at the technical heart of the Digital Experience and Innovation team. The Senior Lifecycle Marketing Specialist brings deep platform expertise, strong technical discipline, and a sophisticated understanding of lifecycle marketing principles to ensure that the team's automation programs, journey builds, and EDM/SMS communications are produced to a consistently high standard — accurately, efficiently, and in full alignment with campaign strategy, brand guidelines, and audience targeting requirements.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have;

  • An undergraduate degree in Marketing or Communications or similar with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • High Experience using marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Campaign Standard (ACS), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Marketo, Braze, HubSpot or similar.
  • Experience building automated campaign workflows, customer journeys and audience segments.
  • Strong understanding of customer data, audience segmentation and targeting principles.
  • Understanding of privacy, consent management and marketing compliance requirements.
  •  Sound knowledge of platform reporting tools, Adobe Analytics, or other marketing/data intelligence software, with experience using performance data to monitor lifecycle program delivery and contribute to optimisation recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality Email content and campaign and data reports.
  • Experience in Agile Project Management.
  • Ability to edit images in Adobe Photoshop for use in email marketing campaigns.
