About the position

The role is also responsible for advice and support for Library Management System workflows related to the procurement and subscription of resources and providing metadata records to enable access and discoverability of resources for users. This position also focuses on the analysis and visualisation of relevant statistics and usage data to advise and make recommendations on collection development, changes to services, processes and procedure.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

  • Qualifications in information management or a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
  • Demonstrated advanced experience relating to metadata creation and maintenance of non-recurrent resources
  • Demonstrated advanced experience in the acquisitions and cataloguing functions of a library management system
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt procedures or techniques to improve workflows and achieve excellent outcomes in relevant areas of responsibility
  • Liaise with vendors and Information Systems to ensure technical issues are resolved and to provide expertise and guidance in relation to system upgrades, roadmap and suitability of system functionality for future needs
  • Interpret license conditions, maintain records and make recommendations relating to licences for information resources.
