About the position

The Associate Professor, Marketing, Technology and Innovation provides leadership to advance interdisciplinary research and teaching in AI-driven marketing and digital innovation. This position fosters collaboration across disciplines to strengthen the curriculum, ensuring it remains contemporary and relevant to industry trends. The role also supports scholarship that addresses the fast-changing landscape of marketing through AI, data, platforms, and new technologies, with a focus on ethical and responsible use of AI.

The Professor, Marketing, Technology and Innovation is responsible for advancing La Trobe Business School’s strategic direction in marketing, with a focus on artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and analytics. This position drives curriculum development, high-impact research, and industry engagement, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to position the School as a leader in future-focused, industry-relevant education. The Professor is nationally and internationally recognized for contributions to AI-enabled marketing and customer analytics, and is instrumental in preparing graduates for success in evolving, technology-driven environments.

Skills and Experience

The Associate Professor, Marketing, Technology and Innovation must hold a PhD in Marketing or a related discipline, demonstrate effective academic leadership, and expertise in marketing, digital innovation, and AI-driven practices. The position requires a strong research record, cross-disciplinary collaboration, curriculum innovation, digital learning proficiency, ability to build partnerships and secure funding, postgraduate supervision, mentoring experience, and excellent communication skills for collaboration across academic and professional groups.

The Professor, Marketing, Technology and Innovation must have a PhD or equivalent in Marketing or a related field, demonstrate effective senior academic leadership, recognized expertise in marketing, digital innovation, and AI, and a strong record of cross-disciplinary collaboration. Essential experience includes a distinguished research profile with national or international recognition, leadership in teaching and curriculum innovation, mentoring experience, and excellent communication skills for collaboration across academic and professional groups.
