- Base salary from $114,855 + 17% superannuation
A Level B, Lecturer with a teaching-focused appointment in postgraduate family therapy programs is responsible for developing curriculum, coordinating and delivering subjects, teaching and supporting students, assessing learning, and managing associated administrative tasks. The role involves creating engaging learning experiences, adopting innovative and evidence-based curriculum design (including online and blended methods), supervising students in professional training, contributing to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure a high-quality student experience. Additional duties may include mentoring, sharing best practices, and undertaking other responsibilities as directed by departmental leadership.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- PhD or Masters degree or equivalent accreditation and standing recognised by the University/profession as appropriate for the relevant discipline area (family therapy).
- Demonstrated record of experience as a family therapy practitioner, with broad knowledge of practice in this field
- Professional membership (or eligibility for) with the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT)
- Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching and curriculum development in postgraduate family therapy subjects in different modalities
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and produce outputs related to the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning or program improvement more generally.
