La Trobe University is seeking an experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to play a critical role in shaping our technology landscape and driving digital transformation. Reporting to the Associate Director, Architecture, you will design and maintain the architecture framework that supports our strategic objectives, collaborating with stakeholders across the university to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework aligned with university strategy.
- Lead the creation and implementation of architecture roadmaps, standards, and guidelines.
- Design and evaluate complex IT solutions for scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership in adopting new technologies and integrating them seamlessly.
- Collaborate with senior management, academic, and administrative units to translate needs into technical requirements.
- Establish and enforce governance processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
About You:
- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, with expertise in frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex IT solutions, including cloud services, data management, and application integration.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
- Awareness of the higher education sector’s regulatory environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
