About the position
- Respond to enquiries via email, telephone and online systems to provide expert advice to academic staff, prospective and current graduate research candidates, colleagues and other university staff on graduate research procedures and processes.
- Administer the end-to-end application and enrolment process for candidature and scholarship applications, including supporting scholarship assessment, ranking and administration of payments.
- Manage the administration of variations to graduate research candidature, progress reporting, and supervisor registration.
- Maintain and monitor up to date and accurate candidature data information in the Student Information System, PRIME, My Records and other record keeping systems.
- Provide support for other members of the Graduate Research Operations Team, including supporting examination processes as required.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
• Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an advanced diploma qualification and at least one year’s subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a diploma qualification and at least two years’ subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a Certificate IV and extensive relevant work
experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate and extensive (typically more than two years’) relevant experience as a technician; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Demonstrated depth or breadth of expertise developed through extensive relevant experience and application.
• Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
• Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility.
- Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus, solution orientated approach.
