About the position
The Manager, Academic Integrity reports to the Deputy Director, Integrity Office, and is responsible for the management, investigation and resolution of academic integrity cases in accordance with the University’s Academic Integrity Statute and policy framework.
This role leads a team that supports the University community in Academic Integrity quality assurance. The position manages the Academic Integrity referral process from intake through to resolution, contributes to the appeals process, and coordinates communication with students and staff.
The Manager contributes to the development and implementation of policy, procedure and systems for Academic Integrity management, analyses academic data to produce reports for governance committees, and identifies opportunities for systemic improvement. The position also coordinates support and training for Academic Integrity Advisors and Academic Misconduct Committees and contributes to university-wide discussions and reviews on Academic Integrity and assessment.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- A degree with substantial extension of the theories and principles learned through experience; or a range of management experience; or postgraduate qualifications, or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
- Experience in the higher education sector, with emphasis on academic quality assurance of academic integrity under relevant regulatory and policy frameworks.
- Ability to manage complex university processes on strict timelines in end-to-end case management and student-focused investigation and communication.
- Knowledge of current higher education sector issues and challenges related to academic integrity prevention, detection and management.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills with experience leading staff, managing workflows and building effective teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and build relationships.
