We are seeking an outstanding academic leader to join our executive team as Deputy Dean, Commercial Growth. This strategic role will work closely with the Dean to advance the school’s commercial agenda, drive revenue diversification and enhance market responsiveness.

As Deputy Dean, you will identify and pursue enterprise opportunities, lead international engagement strategies and establish influential partnerships across industry, government and community sectors. Your leadership will play a pivotal role in strengthening the school’s financial sustainability and positioning it as a leader in innovative and globally connected education.

It will be crucial for the incumbent to be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of higher education and a strong entrepreneurial mindset. Your expertise in international education, academic partnerships and commercial strategy equips you to lead transformative initiatives that deliver real world impact.

Some of your duties at this level will include: 

• Identify and drive new commercial opportunities, including short courses, micro-credentials, and professional learning programs.
• Support the scalable and high-quality delivery of programs in partnership with external sectors.
• Provide strategic advice to the Dean on commercial viability, market positioning, and emerging risks or opportunities.
• Advance the School’s international profile through global research and education partnerships, mobility programs, and pathway initiatives.
• Monitor and interpret market trends to inform commercial strategy and drive responsiveness.
• Contribute to priority projects that align with the Dean’s commercial KPIs and strategic vision.

To be considered for this position the successful incumbent will demonstrate: 

• Sophisticated understanding of global, national, and local environments affecting higher education and academic partnerships.
• Expertise in relevant legislation, policies, and emerging opportunities in both international education and educational partnerships.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire academic and professional staff to deliver strategic outcomes.
• Experience in developing and implementing effective commercial strategies, plans and performance frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, lead teams and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
• Strong organisational and entrepreneurial skills, with a focus on innovation and growth.
