We are reducing the overall use of academic casual employment and providing meaningful pathways for casual academic staff to ongoing academic employment through our casual consolidation project.

Teaching-Focused Academic | Level A or B | 0.6FTE Continuing | Bundoora Campus

La Trobe Law School invites applications from passionate educators to join our progressive Criminology and Law teaching team. We’re seeking early-career academics with a strong commitment to student learning and academic excellence, particularly those who are energised by access to justice, employability outcomes, and inclusive education.

In this teaching-focused role, you’ll contribute to our vibrant undergraduate Criminology and Law programs through high-quality tutorials, marking, and student support. You’ll also engage in course development, innovation in blended and online delivery, and scholarly work that improves the student experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • A completed Honours degree (or higher) in Criminology, Law, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative approach and commitment to diversity, equity, and continuous improvement.
