La Trobe University is seeking a passionate and innovative Associate Lecturer (Teaching Focussed) to join the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology in the School of Computing, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences.
In this role, you’ll contribute to the delivery of high-quality, student-centred teaching in areas such as ,Big data, software engineering, AI, Networking and cybersecurity. You will be part of a department that values innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence — offering cutting-edge programs and fostering multidisciplinary research and teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials and practical sessions across multiple delivery modes.
- Contribute to curriculum design and review, with a focus on enhancing the student experience.
- Provide constructive feedback to support student learning and development.
- Undertake scholarly activities related to teaching and learning.
- Contribute to a vibrant academic community through knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
- Able to perform L&T administrative and leadership tasks assigned by the school/department with dedication.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and ongoing engagement with further academic study.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, including online and blended modes.
- Evidence of innovative teaching practices that improve student outcomes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- Eligibility for joining and completing PhD in the core competencies of CSIT (ongoing, or already obtained PhD)
