About the position
The Scholarships team plays a key role in delivering and managing the administrative functions that underpin the University’s coursework scholarships and bursaries, including those funded by government programs. This team is responsible for the full scholarship lifecycle—maintaining the web content, handling applications, making offers, and managing post-offer processes, as well as providing advice to students.
Under the direction of the Senior Coordinator, Scholarships Programs, the Senior Officer, Scholarships Programs, ensures the smooth and effective administration of scholarship and bursary schemes. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues and other units to maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure consistent and accurate administrative practices. Duties also include contributing to reporting, quality control, process improvements, and promoting a culture of shared learning and continuous development.
Key Selection Criteria:
Skills and knowledge required for the position
• Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Demonstrated ability to gain a conceptual understanding of relevant policies, procedures or systems including the SIS Rewards module and interpretation in the application of policy and/or precedent.
• Ability to innovate and take responsibility for outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, follow established procedures with limited supervision and contribute positively to an effective team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
