About the position

La Trobe Sport is a University department with the strategic goal of developing La Trobe University into the University of choice for Sport in Australia.

The primary purpose of this position is to work with the Customer Experience Officer (Admin), La Trobe Sport to facilitate sales of a range of facilities and experiences delivered by La Trobe Sport and supporting outstanding customer experience across La Trobe University’s sport infrastructure.

Duties at this level may include but are not limited to:

• Assists Customer Experience Officer (Admin) in performance of day-to-day duties in order to ensure that the Customer Experience team can continuously delivery an excellent customer experience.

• Work with the Sales & Customer Experience Officer (Admin) to implement business improvements, including processes, policies and procedures, for the operation of sport infrastructure and services including facility bookings, member services, front of house support and staffing.

• Provides guidance and support to other staff through on the job training/coaching to maintain operational effectiveness.

• Assigns tasks to others where necessary and is responsible for making sure they are completed correctly and to schedule, to ensure service quality standards are maintained.

• Keeps skills up to date and develops abilities and capabilities through learning from more senior/experienced colleagues, appropriate training and/or exposure to a range of activities. • Plans and prioritises own work tasks, to ensure all programs and activities run to schedule and additional booking requirements are met.

• Monitors and takes responsibility of facility and patron usage to ensure established procedures and work requirements are met.

• Receives and responds to customer enquiries to provide the best possible outcome.

Special Requirements:

The Customer Experience Supervisor will be required to work on a rotating roster within normal business hours dependent on sport facility bookings.

Skills and Experience

• Good communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, interpreting and nonverbal skills.

• A flexible attitude to work and an ability to accommodate and adapt to change.

• Good organisational and time management skills including ability to prioritise, work

independently and as part of a team and work well under pressure.

• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in using information technology applications relevant to the role.

• Capability with relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures.
