About the position

This unique opportunity is perfect for a dedicated educator passionate about shaping the future of Criminology within a vibrant academic community. Located at our Melbourne (Bundoora) campus, this position offers a 0.6 FTE continuing appointment within the La Trobe Law School.

As a Lecturer in Criminology, you will have the responsibility of coordinating and teaching subjects within our Criminology program. This role requires a commitment to developing curriculum, supporting student learning, and contributing to the administrative functions of the discipline. In Semester 2, the successful candidate will coordinate and deliver pivotal subjects including "Introduction to the Australian Legal System" and "Juvenile Justice."

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in a relevant discipline, alongside demonstrated effectiveness in teaching, curriculum development, and subject coordination across various modes of delivery. High-level communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students from diverse backgrounds are critical for this role.
