About the position
This position plays a key role in ensuring the University’s compliance with the ESOS Act, National Code, and PRISMS requirements. provides accurate advice and guidance on processes and compliance requirements monitors compliance activities and maintains records to support regulatory reporting. The Senior Officer, Interntional Compliance and Assurance contribute to the development and implementation of processes that uphold international education standards and coordinates administrative tasks to ensure obligations under the ESOS framework are met.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an advanced diploma qualification and at least one year’s subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a diploma qualification and at least two years’ subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a Certificate IV and extensive relevant work experience; or completion of a post-trades certificate and extensive (typically more than two years’) relevant experience as a technician; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Broad knowledge of higher education policies and procedures relating to international student journey and of the Australian university system and government policies affecting international students such as ESOS and National Code.
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility and ability to work independently to contribute positively to an effective team.
- High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution orientated approach.
- Demonstrated cross-cultural experience and sensitivity.
