 About the Role

In this role, you will coordinate and teach into several anatomy subjects, ensuring cohesive curriculum delivery, high-quality learning experiences and alignment with accreditation and professional standards. Due to the significant volume of anatomy teaching within physiotherapy programs, candidates must have a physiotherapy background to effectively integrate applied and clinical anatomy into the curriculum, enhance interprofessional connections, and contribute to ongoing subject redevelopment and innovation.

You will contribute to a culture of excellence in learning and teaching through evidence-based practice, scholarly engagement and active involvement in subject and course design, delivery and review. The role also includes mentoring sessional and early-career staff, supporting continuous improvement, and contributing to the operational and strategic development of the Anatomy discipline.

 

Skills and knowledge required for the position

  • A PhD or equivalent accreditation/standing recognised by the University and profession as appropriate to the discipline of Anatomy or a closely aligned field.
  • Clinical qualification and experience in physiotherapy, with demonstrated ability to integrate applied clinical perspectives into anatomy teaching for allied health students.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and subject coordination across face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, evidenced by strong student feedback, peer review, teaching awards, or other credible indicators of teaching quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and evaluate engaging, evidence-informed and clinically relevant curriculum, including contributions to subject and/or course redevelopment.
  • Demonstrated engagement with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or clinical research, with a clear trajectory of developing expertise in these areas.
